Privacy Policy

Planning Toolkit ("we", "us") provides free construction planning tools, calculators, and a Melbourne supplier directory at planningtoolkit.com.au. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

Schedule files (XER) — local analysis: The Programme Workspace (when opened without signing in), FloatCheck and the related schedule analysis tools read and analyse your Primavera P6 (.XER) file in your browser. The file is not uploaded to our servers and the Programme Workspace does not store it. FloatCheck, Lead Time and Percent Complete keep the parsed schedule in your browser's session storage so it can be reused between those tools; it is cleared when you close the tab.

Saved projects (optional, requires sign-in): If you request a sign-in link, we store your email address (to create your account and send the link). If you then choose to create or update a saved project, we also store the XER file you chose to save and the programme data and revision history built from it. These are held in your account with our database and storage provider, and per-user access controls restrict them to your account, so other users cannot see them. We do not sell them. The site operator can technically access stored data when needed to run or secure the service. You can ask us to remove your saved data at any time (see Your Rights).

Contact and listing information: If you submit a supplier listing or claim an existing listing through our forms, we collect the information you provide — business name, contact details, services, and any other details you submit. This is used solely to update the relevant supplier listing on Planning Toolkit and is not sold or shared with third parties.

Usage data: We use Google Search Console and may use standard web analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, general location, device type). We do not track individual users across other websites.

RFQ requests: When you generate a request for quote (RFQ) through Procure, the request is sent directly via email and is not stored on our servers beyond basic usage logging (which category and supplier were requested, for internal reporting only).

Third-Party Services

Planning Toolkit uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

Cookies

We may use minimal cookies for basic site functionality and analytics. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising tracking at this time. If you sign in to saved projects, your sign-in session is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in; signing out removes it.

Your Rights

You can request that we remove your business listing or any information you've submitted at any time by contacting us at sashreek33@gmail.com. If you're located in Australia, you have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the right to access and correct your personal information.

Children's Privacy

Planning Toolkit is intended for professional and business use and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
